Default Dash Light Problem

For some reason when I go to start the car the left and right turn signal and High beam lights on the dashboard, stay dimly lit while the car is running. (I’m talking about the idiot lights on the dash)....Then it sometimes disappears after a few minutes....If I turn on the hazards the high beam light flashes on the dash with the rhythm of the hazard lights going on and off.......All my lights work.....just wondering why those three light on the dashboard are lightly dimming??? 98 Bonneville SE with the standard dash….Thanks Ryan

Default Just an update

Another thing to add to this....I noticed that when the drivers side seatbelt is buckled in, the Fasten SEAT BELT Light does go out like it should, but when that sensor in the seatbelt connecter is triggered those three idiot light that I talked about earlier get real bright then go back to the dimming......I think I have a cluster problem??? There must be something connected between the fasten seat belt sensor and the idiot lights???

Our cars are a maze of communication systems, relays, wires and coils. You may have a ground bus corrosion issue or gauge cluster issue.

Check for corrosion first and then let'* see if we can get an electrical gear head to step into the thread and help https://www.gmforum.com/t278980/

Default Update

I have been putting this issue off for a little while and now responding back to this thread....I have a few pictures now that I can show.....I have indeed cleaned the 2 ground bus locations.....Both of them were very clean...still I took them out and cleaned the surfaces....Nothing changed.....I decided to take the panel off under the steering wheel to see if there were anything unusual....I did find this.......It'* 2 fuses taped to the wires...What do they go to....they don't appear to be blown...Name: DSC00121.jpg

Notice how the High beam, Left and right indicators are glowing in the background ...Name: DSC00117.jpg

I turn on the left turn signal and the right indicator light flashes.......I turn on the right and the left indicator flashes....All my lights work just fine....The cluster is giving me opposite signals.....weird.......Remember......With the engine off, everything works just fine....Once I turn on the engine, those indicator lights glow and show complete opposite readings on the turn signal indicator lights......I hope I don't have a bad cluster....Thanks again for the help!
