Unhappy Help - is it the dimmer switch?!?!?!?

Ok - here is my dillema - I was driving tonight, had my low beams on, flicked on the high beams and lost all headlights together. The turn signals, flashers, parking lights, dash lights, interior lights, radio and brakes all work fine. Just the headlights! Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it? How much did it cost? And where can I find parts?

Thank you so much for any info you can give me - I don't know much about cars - yeah typical girl but I don't want to get screwed over by a mecahnic either - Christmas is right around the corner!

It could be the mulitfunction lever... aka high beam switch.

What year is the car?

It is a '92. And it would be the lever even if the turn signals and wipers till work? Only part of it can go bad?

Yes, it is possible that the one part of the switch went bad.
