power seat install
Searching the junk yard i found a complete set of leather seats and both front seats are powered. The junk yard was running a special all you can carry ten yards fo 29.99. Needles to say i grabbed them and after splitting the bill with a friend I only ended up paying 20.00. I want to install them in my 96 se that does not have power. Do I have to run wires from somewhere and if so where?

Secondly, does the driver'* seat have a small black box mounted under the forward edge of the seat bottom?
Does the passenger seat have the air compressor intact?
Did you get the switch pod for the center console? Do you even have a center console? Console shift?
Are there any connectors dangling, and can you describe them? Take pictures?

Ok both seats look the same, they have the controls on the bottom of the seats( 3 switches), air compressors underneath and the wires (1 orange 1 black)where they were connected on the floor, no black box on either. I'm not sure what year they're from but my 96 does not have a console.

Ok, you got base-option SSE seats, and it'* not common to find both powered that way. Might have been from an SLE, also. This might simplify your wiring.
Still would be helpful to find what year they came from. I THINK you may be able to get away with a simple power and ground on each side.
The 15-way seats would have been alot harder. Are you sure you saw a compressor? The seats you describe aren't supposed to have the lumbar chambers or 'love-handles'.

And what year is your car? Click on "profile" in the upper right corner of this screen, and fill out your signature with your year, model, trim level, and any mods.

Those cans may be the motors. The normal lumbar configuration is with a single compressor under the passenger seat for BOTH seats. The seats with the adjustment switches on the seat bottoms don't have lumbar adjustments to the best of my knowledge, but I may be wrong.
