Default Clock Display Not Working

I have a 96 Bonneville SE that the clock in the radio has quit working. Is this something I can service by replacing just the LCD clock display or am I looking at taking the whole radio out and having someone else service it? Anybody have any past experience with this?

Thanks,
Rick

You need to purchase a new bulb. It is tough to find an exact fit... I would recommend taking the old one out, then going to Radio Shack to get a similarly sized bulb. Then you will have to solder the new one in.

Thanks for the reply. I thought the LCD displays didn't use a bulb. Maybe I'm wrong. I just thought they were digital and no bulb was involved??

If it is an LCD display, then it must use a bulb, because LCD displays do not illuminate by themselves. This one is an LCD display.

However, you may be fooled into thinking you have an LED display, which is not the case here.
