Default Aftermarket Coolant Temp Gauge

Hey,
On the 92-99s we have a one sensor system (correct?).. I see a few people in here running extra gauges so I know it must be possible. Where have you guys been putting the sender for an aftermarket temp gauge? I used to have a 1980 Mercury Capri Turbo (Mustang) and it had a two piece upper hose with a metal union that had a threaded fitting for a sender. Is there anyother way to do this on thses cars?

Thanks in advance as always you guys are awesome
Dean

92-95 had two sensors. 96+ has a single sensor with two built into it.

In all cases one of the sensors feeds the pcm and the other a dash gauge. TMK no one has added another temp gauge on top of the two.

Thanks for the reply,
I'm really looking to add all three gauges in aftermarket versions. The reason I have questions about the water temp is because I have heard from a few people that you can't put them in a T-fitting because the readings will be off up to ten degrees.

I know there are products like the scangauge II that will show the temp as read by the PCM but I wasnt looking to spend that much right now

ScanGaugeII - Trip Computers + Digital Gauges + Scan Tool

This is similar to what I was talking about on the turbo car. Very simple.
