weird problem /w light-on ding
My car has been making the dinging noise when you leave your lights on, but its doing it whenever the car is turned off and the lights are off, the doors are closed and the keys are out of the ignition. Turning the lights on seem to make it ding 2x faster. Ive also noticed that the seatbelt light on the driver information dash stays on all the time, whereas before it would stay on for a few seconds when the car was started then go off.
Anybody have any ideas?

Hello and welcome to the club. Your problem would be better served in the everything electrical section.
Also please put your year, miles and trim level in your sig.

That sounds more like the 'you left the keys in the ignition' ding to me.
While its Dinging and the keys in your hand/pocket. turn the ignition cylinder forward. If that doesnt stop the dinging try turning it backwards.

So nobody has any ideas?
I cut a wire coming from what I thought was the thing that produces the chime, looked like a horn, but I guess I was wrong. Anyways, it was a round, black thing that looks like a horn, and had a single green wire coming out of it, and its located behind the glovebox towards the left side. Whatd I cut?

Agree it may be the trunk switch...
There is a switch in the column that can go bad, or its possible that the Lock cylinder is not allowing the switch to release so you get the dinger
