Default Adding a heated mirror...

Where would I get power for a heated mirror? I've got a blue tinted glass one,a drivers side 94 SSE, and a 93 SE with a badly crakced mirror, and with knobby climate control.

Is it something I could rig up to the rear defroster, or would i need a new circuit?

Factory heated mirrors are wired to come on with the rear defroster. I'm not sure of their wiring, but the heated mirrors do have a fuse. Find that slot and see if there is any pre-exsisting wiring for them.

Take the door panel off and see if there is a connector for the heated mirrors. Remember the 92-93 Bonneville were all wired the same no matter what trim level. I think that on my car I remember seeing the heated mirror connector when I had my doors apart. Blue tinted mirrors is one for my future upgrades. You are stealing my thunder :

Oh yeah good call. Are SE'* available with heated mirrors? Or is it an ECC only option?

I dont reacll ever seeing an SE with the Tinted-Heated mriiors. Now as to a ECC only option I dont think that it would be. Only because when the rear defroster is activated the mirrors are activated. it is just a little more wiring I dont think that there is any connection to ECC and the heated mirrors

Heated mirrors were not an option on the 95 Bonneville SE package. My old 95 had all of the options and I wished it had heated mirrors. I do believe that all ot the wiring harnesses are the same so you may have the wiring installed for a heated mirror.

how can I tell if I have heated mirrors. My mirrors have the blue tint, which is damn cool, but not sure if they are heated. Thanks

put some snow on them, and turn on the rear defroster.. if the snow melts off, you've got 'em.
