H.I.D problems?
Hey guys, I have an 01 SE. a few months ago I installed H.I.D assemblies in it and a few days ago I started to notice a problem. When I first start my car at night, my passenger side headlight comes on but the drivers side does. Now here is the most confusing part of the whole ordeal. If I turn the **** to just the marker lights and then back to its orgional position, then both lights come on... Anyone familiar with this problem? I am not sure if its the twilight sentinial or if its the H.I.D assembly itself. I would appreciate all advice. thanks in advance

True Car Nut
This is an after market part. I think the maker of that part might be better suited in figuring out whats going on. However; It sounds like it might be a ballast or an ignitor issue.

Do you have the balasts hooked into the stock headlight connectors? If you do you need to get the upgraded harness that pull power directly from the battery with a relay controlling it, I had the same problem in the winter, its a protection feature in the balast
and if that still doesn't solve the problem I'm working on a write up that will turn the headlights off while cranking like the car should have been from the factory

it'* called an HID relay harness, about $20-$25, but totally worth it, then the light disable while cranking is a little bit of wiring if your comforable let me know i'll make a little diagram

the HID relay harness you can find online, then you will need a SPDT relay for the crank disable, give me a little bit to get my pen tablet working on my computer and I can draw you a diagram for what you need to do
