Headlight Switch Repair
Does anyone know the GM parts # for the black connector that plugs into the headlight switch on my 95 Bonneville SE? Also, where can I get the metal connectors (delphi?) that are crimped onto the end of the wires?
I've already replaced the headlight switch and connector once before (grabbed the plastic connector from the junkyard) but it has since melted again. This is really annoying.
Alternately, has anyone had success swapping in a completely different kind of switch? I don't care about the ability to dim the dash lights...I just want my tail lights and dash lights to come on reliably.

I went to the local junkyard and grabbed a headlight switch and wiring harness from a 99 Bonne....no luck. I connected all wires in the proper order, but I cannot get my dash and tail lights to come on.
Is there a ground that I should check somewhere? This is really frustrating.

one on both sides of the car in same location
corrosion is our enemy when it comes to our electrical in our Bonneville'*
the ground bus is the most common area for corrosion

Could be a ground bus problem. If you take off the trim holding down your carpet next to the drivers seat, you'll see a bus. Just make sure it'* all clean. Sounds like a ground problem somewhere. Did you check the battery terminals, battery end, and where they ground to the car
pull it apart carefully and inspect for corrosion

The reason for this corrosion is because over time our inner door moldings shrink and allow water to splash in the interior and the water seeps down on top of these two ground areas.
