Weird one for you all
Ok so first off CHANGE YOUR BELTS AND CHANGE THEM OFTEN....
Now before you move my thread to a different location read the rest. I had a belt come apart and take out some wiring under my hood, one of which is a white wire that goes to the spark pack and I'm not sure what that white wire is supposed to connect to and where the wire is supposed to route to. I also have another white wire that goes like from the firewall down to the battery that may be the other half of that wire. Could someone look at theirs and tell me how to reconnect it. Oh yeah, it still seems to run just fine.
This is for my 97 and it was the supercharger belt, and yes I already have a replacement. I was planning on replacing it this weekened anyway but I guess now I really do need to change it.
I can take pictures of it tomorrow morning if you need that to figure out what I am talking about.

You shouldn't need to change the belts often. Maintaining the engine and it'* systems is the first step to saving yourself from things like this. While your belt is off, please check the pullies and tensioners. Typically most don't remove the large engine mount and change the pulley behind it until they have a major failure like you did.
If that wiring is on the engine, it'* easy enough. You can swap that piece of the harness. It plugs in next to your coil packs. To sweeten the deal even better..I have 2-3 of them laying around. If you want one, I can do $25 shipped via priority mail.
