Well, lets see here. There could be damage to important wiring from the belt flying loose. Did it maybe overheat and damage something? Or maybe you could disconnect the battery for 30 minutes, then try again. Maybe something needs reset.

Those are things I would look at or try.

could have overheated. my wife drove for about 1 mile after throwing the belt. Have replaced belt, water pump and battery (all at the same time) but have no spark. Do not know if one of the sensors is down by the water pump. Also do not know if the cam sensor, crank sensor, or egm would cause this.

All three can cause this. PCM and Crank sensor are the prime suspects. By any chance, does it catch 1 out of 6 times?

Powertrain control module. The car'* brain. Computer. Called a PCM because it also controls the trans. The previous gen had a purely hydraulic trans, so the PCM was called an ECM. Electronic control module.

Probably not the culprit, though. We need more details. The car cranks, but no spark, correct? And the only thing that'* happened is what you detailed above?

I can not think of any additional info to give you. Is there something in particular you are looking for. Engine turns over just fine, fuel not a problem, just no spark at all. I have had the ignition module and coils checked and they are all ok.

I really want to thank everyone for all of the great information. I will be exposing the crankshaft position sensor tomorrow evening and will let you know the results of my findings. In reading all of the information which you all have given, as well as talking to some friends, it seems that this may be the culprit. I hope so as it seems to be quite simple to get at and replace.

Thank you again.
