Default Temp gauge saga - last chapter.

Long story short:
My TEMP gauge is fixed.

Previous episodes -
The water pump and T-stat were replaced under warranty.
Then the gauge was determined to be at fault.
Remove cluster to fix gauge that needs a part.
They had to MAKE the fu-king part!
Can't drive car without cluster.
Return to get part installed.
I was without a car for a TOTAL of 18 days including weekends!

ANYBODY feel free to post about installing a redundant mechanical or electrical gauge setup in my '92 SSE!
I will NOT go through this BS again.
THE END...maybe.

The Service Mgr. told me I couldn't drive mine without the cluster in the dash...

If he'* lyin'...well, wouldn't that be JUST like a Dealer!?
Actually, I wonder if they don't let you drive it because if something happened, LIKE 'ACCIDENT' and you didn't have the whole car together because the 'Dealer' said you could drive it that way ---
I think it has more to do with 'culpability' in COURT.

Whaddaya think?
