For starters...check your owner manual for any information if your car has a light or not.

If that doesn't tell much lay on the washer switch and drain the tank to nothing. Any light?

Like the Boost Man said, check your owner'* manual. I just found my old Olds manual and it says that the "Low Washer Fluid" warning lamp was optional. I found that the yellow warning panel for Anti Lock Brakes, Low Fuel, and Low Washer Fluid did exist in my car, but it was not equipped with Anti-Lock Brakes, etc. It was just cheaper for GM to put this panel in ALL of their 88'* (and I bet their Sabres as well). I'm guessing that there should be some sort of sensor(float?) in the Washer Fluid Reservoir if you had this feature.

Depending on accessibility, look closely at your washer fluid resevoir. If you see wires going to an assembly somewhere on the side of it, you should have a corresponding light on your dash. If you can't find wires, you won't have a sensor and therefore no dash light.

The wires that are mentioned above go to a float sensor that rides the fluid until its low enough to throw a light. If you dont have that float in your washer fluid res, then you do not have a low fluid light.

Rogers..you should see two sets of wires. One set will go to the pump and the other will go to the fluid sensor if it is so equipped

If you have the sensor, you'll have a second black thingy on top of the tank. One is the cover thingy that lets you fill it with stuff to squirt. The other thingy is the top of the sensor. Both thingies look similar, but are different. Sensor thingy won't come off like a cap thingy.

In this pic you can see the level sensor at the far forward section of the tank (through the CAI top cover):

The pumps are mounted on the sides of the tank lower down. Note that this is a double-tank for 92-95 SSE/SSEi with headlamp washers. But any other GM car with a level sensor should have a similar or identical sensor on the top of their tank.

SENSOR: 2 wires only.
PUMP(*): Wire harness AND fluid delivery tube.
