Default Lamp Monitor false reading ?

My lamp monitor is displaying that I have a tail lamp out but when I check the lights all of them are working.

One of my Daytime running lights is out but the monitor did not pick that up or start saying that a tail lamp is out until two weeks later.

Which bulbs will cause the Lamp Monitor to display Tail Lamp ?

Any ideas what is causing this ?

Thanks in Advance,
Dutch

License plate lights are a possibility. Or corroded sockets.

Not license plate lights or brake lights already checked.

Corrosion maybe but wouldn't that stop the bulb from lighting if it got that bad ?

How does the lamp monitor work ? Does it read the restance of the different lighting circuits ?

Thanks,
Dutch

The lamp monitor uses an extra wire to check for continuity or resistance, I'm not sure which. But that portion of the socket can get corroded and the bulb will still work.

All of the little 194 'peanut' bulbs in all four housings, your parking lights, and the license lights.
