PassKey Ignition Switch Removal*
so you've been having some issues with either your key and the tumbler cylinder or the switch itself
here is how you can remove the tumbler from the switch
First you will need to remove the trim bezel around the radio which you can find out by SEARCHING around here, then take out the radio, just push on the tabs and it slides out
Now to get to the switch, remove the 2 screws holding it in and wiggle it over to the hole where the radio was
here is the switch with the harnesses (junker I bought) the only thing missing is the PassKey sensor which would be around the light bezel
here is just the harnesses taken off, to get the black and white connectors off first pull the orange lock out of the connector then you will see a tab on the outside edge, press that in with a screwdriver then lift up on the blue tab in the middle and it will pull right out
on the side where the 2 screws connect you will see a rectange with a piece of metal in it that is what releases the tumbler
now put the key in the ignition and turn it to run, you might want to turn off any electronics you can because even after you remove the tumbler the car will remain in the on state
now take your screwdriver and push on that piece of metal showing in that rectangle while pulling on the head of the key, the tumbler will slide right out
now you have things seperated
if you are going to replace the switch I would reccomend pulling the switch out first because of the tight clearences
