Add auxiliary power switch
Add auxiliary power switch and keep a clean look. In this write up we will be installing a switch in the center console.
Start by removing the center console area where the switch will be mounted. Use a small screwdriver to press in these 2 small tabs and gently pry up. There is also a metal clip in teh center that will pop off.
Now you will find 2 small Phillips screws holding the seat controls in place, remove these. There are also 2 small plastic tabs at the front that need to be pushed in. The seat controls will then come out leaving only the frame for you to work on. Take this to your bench to work more easily. Cut or drill the holes needed for your switch. Be sure to center and make things straight.
You may use any type of switch you wish. I suggest the smallest rocker style because of the limited space and because your arm will be moving around. So tall toggle switches will be in the way.
You will then need to run your wires to where ever you need them to go. Make sure your connections are all good and clean.
Put everything back together and test it out.
