Any suggestions for painting plastic parts?
My sight shield under the hood has seen better days and I thought that a coat of paint might spruce it up a bit. Any suggestions so that it doesnt come out looking like a kindergartener did the job?? Any suggestions on paint to handle the engine heat?

Ah...THAT thing.
Personally, I would look for a cover that fits the 2k models on up. It will fit the older years just fine I would think, and doesn't trap in as much heat as that monstrosity.

If you are talking about the engine cover like this? (of course, mine is a 2000)
....then yes, you can paint it with Krytox Fushion paint (made for plastics). Wash it thoroughly in a degreaser like Simple Green first. Here'* mine after... I chose a "hammered metallic" look.
I painted the lettering by hand...
