Ouch, $250 is ridiculous, I paid $125 for mine, 20% all the way around including the 6inch strip across the windsheild. Keep looking around, you're bound to find someone who'll do it for less.

Joe.

I would take out the 3rd brake light before delivering to the tint shop and see how much that would cost. Also do a super job of cleaning your car including the carpet and seats, dust is not something you want between the tint and the window. I would also remove all of the trash and clean the windows.

Another hint is to go to this tinters forum listed below and ask for help locating a qualified tinter in your area. You are looking for a 1st class tint job at a fair price.

Do not be in a hurray and look at the different tint manufactures to select a tint you like. My car was done with 40% Johnson tint. Above all be legal being told to take illegal tint off is not a pleasant surprise.

Mine cost $200 CAD for every window (well, not the windsheild :P), and they did the back window in 1 piece with no griping. Plus it has a warrenty for as long as I own the car if it ever bubbles, cracks, fades, turns purple, comes off, etc.

Plus, it'* illegal to have the fronts tinted here too, but most shops will do it anyways for you. It'* your ticket after all, not their'*.

Price is traditionally dictated on the type of tint. Most shops around here use LLumar tint, which is the best you can get. Average price is 200 with the one piece back window. Usually less than that means they use tint of poorer quality, since tint isnt all about the persentage of light allowed in.
