I agree. I never used a claybar until after I had used the 3 phase system for a year or so. I've found that you really don't need the claybar unless you have A LOT of embedded dirt particles and debris left on your paint. But if well maintained and a 3 phase wax system is used you will get the same results with the wax system. The first phase if basically like a liquid claybar so-to-speak. It gets out a ton of embedded dirt and grime (you can tell by how dark and dirty the cloth is after the first phase is applied).

But I still like the claybar. Every auto store has them, including WalMart. They come with the detailing spray and cleaner wax (Mothers does anyway).

It'* funny...my dad was using a claybar on his NEW 2003 Vette, that he only drove for a just few months last summer. I told him, "You don't need to be using that already."
