Soo I was in Autozone earlier looking for polish for the monte & I came across that Turtle Wax Black Box thing I've heard about in the past. I'm thinking about buying it eventually but I don't wanna pay over 20 bucks for it unless I know it works or not. Sooooo has anyone on here heard about it or has used it on their car????


Mkk & my other question is about the new Meguiar'* Trim Restorer. I was gonna buy that today for the plastic rubber stuff around my windows but once again I didn't wanna spend 10 bucks on it if it didn't work with helping to restore the black on that rubbery surface. Soo yeah has anyone used that yet or heard anything about it?

I've used the black box. It works great! There are a couple of spots where the paint was fading, and the wax helped to color it in.

Ohh gotcha. My paint isn't fading but it'* got some scratches that I hope it'll fill in enough for the car shows & I wanna have the paint look as black & luscious as possible

Follow the directions closely for the best results. Make sure you have about 3 clean towels with you.

I've been using Meguires for some time now and been very happy with the results. Not sure on turtle wax though. But one thing you may want to check out is Meguires #7. It'* a greasy wax you put on after polish and before the wax. Really wakes up dark colors. Your black will just explode.

I've said it on here before, but I have used many, many products out there, spending $10 here, $20 there...and now they all sit on a shelf and collect dust, as once I switched over to Zaino products I have never again used anything else.

Zaino will do everything you want it to, and it will do it easier, and last longer (water still beads up after a year on mine like I JUST put the stuff on!) Usually every wash after I dry it I go over it with some spray detailer just to get any water spots I might have missed, and to give it a little extra "pop" which I dilute 50/50 with water to make it last even longer. I spent about $50-$60 2+ years ago, and I still have LOTS of product left (except I now need new detail spray). BTW their leather conditioner is beyond amazing..the smell is so much like new leather you will want to condition your seats every couple weeks just so you can smell it lol.

You've seen pictures of my car, and my car is a light color, and it still looks great....my Black camaro just looked beyond amazing with the stuff

im interested in trying zaino as you are now like the 100th person that praises it, what products of theirs do you use?

I personally use on my light colored vehicles in this order, (notice multiple coats and Z6 in between coats)

ZAIO - Zaino All In One
Z6 - Ultra Clean Gloss enhancer spray
Z2 Pro with ZFX - Show car Polish with Flash Cure Accelerator Additive
Z6
Z2 Pro with ZFX again
Z8 - Grand Finale Spray Seal

And I use their Z10- Leather in a Bottle Leather Conditioner for my interior which I can't say enough about..it smells amazing.

If you have a dark color car I would also add in Z5 -Show Car Polish for Swirl Marks and Fine Scratches or substitute it for Z2...on my black camaro I simply used Z5 instead of Z2 in those steps.

They also have kits on their site that include a bunch of those and different ones as a package.

All the info you will ever need to know on how to apply it, and how to achieve the best results can be found on their site..it is VERY informative and a must read if you want to achieve the best.

Some more things, since I can't edit my post, You can do as many coats as you want of the Z2 or Z5 (whichever you go with) as they are created to layer upon themselves..the more coats the better results. On my black camaro I did 3 coats and it looked amazing. My lighter cars now I do only 2 coats as that is all that is necessary for me. I have heard of guys doing 5-10 coats but that seems excessive to me lol

In between doing the full zaino treatment that i listed above which I do once or twice a year, I simply wash the car like normal and use the Z6 after washing it to make it really shine. Also if your paint isn't in great shape to begin with, or even if it is, I recommend Clay baring that whole car before applying all your products, as it will make the surface absolutely smooth and contaminant free.
