spray 8"-12" away from the lights, it looks like you were about 4" away

Well I tried salvaging the tint that was on there. I sanded off the clearcoat off of the one tail, and alcohol wiped it. Then I kinda used a dry paper towel to get the residue from the alcohol off. I then applied a very light layer of tint to it about 8" away from it. I think a big thing that'* helping now is the industrial sized dehumidifier I have running in there. Now that I think about it, it was pretty humid yesterday evening. I let the dehumidifier sit in there for about an hour and a half before I sprayed, and pulled about a gallon of water out of the air in that time period. They look OK now... so I think I'll let them dry 3-4 hours, then sand w/ 800, and apply clear coat. Should I put some alcohol on there between sanding and clear coating? Here'* what they looked like after dehumidifying:

Not a great pic, but noticeably better after about an hour of dry time.

As for clear coat, this is what I used the last time. Satin BTW.

I was thinking perhaps I'll use the clearcoat I used when I touched up my fender from a huge key marking.

What do you guys think?

Krylon is junk, go for the Duplicolor. Good luck and I can't wait to see what they look like on your car.

Success! I think I now hate Krylon paint. It worked out beautifully. The center brake light piece turned out awesome, while I decided to drip my sweat on one of the outside pieces. I sanded down both pieces to re-do the clear when I ran out of clear lol. So I will have to buy some more clear, sand em down and re-clear them some day. But they look awesome as it is right now... here'* some pics. Sorry... it'* night time, I'll post some day time ones later.

I'm glad you got it to all work out for you in the end. Nice work.

How about some daylight pics? Your outer tails still look rather dull.

It'* at the shop... again... for the moment. Getting the torque converter replaced. I drove it there sat morning and refused to drive it anywhere until they fixed the oil level. When I pulled it out of the garage after tinting the tails, I noticed a large blue cloud of smoke. When they gave me my free oil change, they gave me about a qt too much oil. Hopefully no permanent damage, don't want to deal with a new engine, but whatever.

Outer tails are slightly duller... I dropped a bead of sweat in the one, therefore I re-sanded both and went to re-clear them, when I ran out of clear after the first coat lol. Gota find where I can get duplicoat clear coat now. I'm thinking I'll have it back next weekend-ish. I'm driving their 99' Lesabre now. Hope it doesn't blow up, the 94 they gave me the last time I managed to majorly break something in the trans. Wouldn't move an inch lol.
