Tinting tails
#2
dont do it unless you know what your doing or know someone who knows what theyre doing. chances are if you try to do it yourself, youll mess it up and have to redo it or give it to someone else to redo. nothing against you just thats usually how it goes.

in order to "Paint" the tail lights, you need someone who has the proper equipment, tools, experience etc..
The only DIY "paint" option out there I know of without searching around is VHT, which is stuff that comes in a can... I would not personally recomend it, but others might. I guess it is just personal preference. While it may be okay for some, it will not give the you results of having it professionally done.
You can also find somewhere that tints tail lights with a type of film similar to window tint but thicker, (some places even use window tint if I am not mistaken, but I wouldn't recommend that) the results will be similar to painting it, but again not as nice in my opinion. I have seen many tail lights with the film/tint applied to them down here in FL and they look okay from a distance but the closer you get to them the worse they look..again all depends on the product used and person doing them. you can buy that product and do it yourself, just google it or check ebay even. I know of some shops that use a film to tint them and they have very good results, and I have seen some cars that looked very nice, but I am biased and still feel the results from a proper "paint" tint job is much, much, better
