02ssei, if I may offer my opinion...I live in Indiana and know the IL laws rather well. I suggest tinting the back windows 35% and the front 2 side ones 50% that way cops are less prone to mess with you, and your still getting protection on the front side windows

I had a friend do his BMW 328i in %50 all the way around. It just didn't seem like it offered much protection from the sun. Oh well, at $3 a foot, I'll try the %50 first and see how it looks. Thanks for the advice!

Hey, I'm rather new to this site. How do I post a pic of my car in the bottom of my signature? Do I need to have pics of it on a public web server, or can I upload it somewhere? Thanks.

That %35 looks sharp on there. If you don't mind me asking what did your place charge for something like that?

I had an IN and buttered the guy up on the phone pretty well and told him the back deck was out (which it was). He charged me $180, did a fantastic job and also mentioned he'd be charging more for a 10 window bonne if I had friends..lol

See my signature pic for 20% all the way around. I feel that it is dead sexy. I had 20% rears and 35% fronts on my 1996 SE and I really had wished I'd done 20% all around, so thats what I did the second time around. Cost me $280 with tax included. ND law states up to 50% is legal on front windows, anything is legal if it is behind the driver.

I have never been hassled for my tint, then or now.

if i was you i would go with some dark tint to really hit off that white, i have a 95 white bonne sse with 20 % all around and it looks pretty sick, if u want a nice classy look, 35 is not a bad idea, but 20 just looks nasty cuz u can hardly see thru it. i also have the rear windshied 5%.

You should go with 20% all the way around. My personal favorite on White. Although I like the way my 5% looks (It may be coming off though when I get the time, then I will be going to 20%) See my cardomain link.
