Default Need help with paint color

OK so my paint code is BC/CC U 8554 93B and I need to know what touch up paint matches. I used duplicolor "match" #338 - White and it is way off. Far to white while the car is almost eggshell. This really pisses me off cause I have never had a problem before with Duplicolor matches. Does Duplicolor'* "Linen White" match better?

Correct, that is the color I purchased and painted onto the car. Problem is its NOT the right color. It is much whiter.

well it should match... maybe you got a miss labled bottle or a bad batch?

also, you CAN"T expect a 100% match out of a touch up bottle.

ok first off this was the spray can just to clarify. Second its not even close. in 2001 there were two "white" colors for bonnevilles right? well this matches the "whiter one" I have the off-white paint. does anybody have the paint code for that? Im wondering if my tire cover was switched in a previous lif :?

Yes, GM sells aerosol cans, but if that'* the way you're painting, the methods you use will cause a mismatch. Prep (underlayers) and methods have a big impact on final finish, especially with white.

ok well I used a coat of adhesion promoter several coats of white primer (thats what i sanded through under the factory paint) and two solid coats of duplicolor white #338(#8554). The color is much whiter than the rest of the car. I will post a pic tomarrow. It looks more like gm'* "bright white" than what is on the car. I am so frustrated right now. The finish is nice and smooth. I put three days of work into prep and now it looks like it still just primered :(

Please tell us the why, how, when (whaterver happened) and before/during/after pics.

You're asking us to answer a very narrow question when we need the big picture.
