HID Foglights
I remember a while back posting something light-related.
I remember hearing the Sylvania died quickly. Now I don't remember if we were speaking about turning signals, headlights, foglights, or whatnot. However, I'm getting 4300K HID headlights and I would like my foglights to match.
Any advice on who makes the best foglights?
What size are our foglight holes so I don't buy something too small or too big.

Anything between 3.5-4" will look alright in there normally.
I'd suggest something with a projector for both sets of lights. Your housings can't disperse light from HID systems correctly, and WILL blind other drivers if aimed normally. If you point them down, then you don't get any real gain.

Your halogen lens is NOT designed for a HID bulb and WILL produce a LOT of glare to oncomming drivers and will NOT have a good output pattern on the ground. If you are going to do HID'* you NEED to get projectors and do it properly. Mounting projectors into the 00+ style bonneville headlight is very easy.
as for the fogs, I would suggest a search. Projectors would be the best. I would suggest something with a lower color temp than 4100k. read, a more halogen color. because in bad weather you will want that. especially if you do a drop in hid kit, in bad weather you will blind the **** out of yourself.

I am retrofitting my headlights, that'* why I asked. I'm buying S2000 projectors with 4300K Philips bulbs.
For fogs... I want 4300K bulbs to match. That'* what I'm looking for. However I had a few questions on top of what kind to get.
First of all, if I buy new HID foglights, will it come with a whole new plastic front piece. Because mine is very sandblasted. If worse comes to worst I will just buy the fog lights from GM, but they're very sandblasted.
Second, what kind should I get and where? Should I get projectors? Do I need to get them retrofitted?

good choice on S2k projectors, one of if not the best single xenon projector available.
For the fogs, take a look at the hella modules. they come in 50mm and 90mm if I remember correctly. you can get them in low beam, fog or high beam style.
would be right about the stock fog light size, produce a pretty sweet beam, and you can get them in D2S. H7 is available for fog lights, not sure how they would accept a HID bulb though.
what ballasts are you using for the S2ks?

I'm really not too sure. Customlightz is doing the whole job for me. It'* a very expensive project but I have the money to get it done so why not. Low beam retrofit with Philips 4300K, High beam retrofit with Philips 4300K, and a turning signal retrofit as well for better viewing. S2000 projectors all around except a mini-projector for the turn signals.
I have no idea how the foglights work. Say I took my current foglights out and tossed them in the trash. Then I bought the Hella HID foglights. Would I need to buy anything or would it screw right in the hole in replace of the other one.

I dont like how Customlightz does their high beams, not to mention that most people dont have HID high beams (unless they have a bi-xenon projector) because HID bullbs and ballasts do not like to be flashed on and off quickly.
they are probably using bosch mini H3 projectors for the turn signals...
for the fogs you would have to make custom brackets most likely.
