Default How to get burnt rubber off the paint safely

I have large amounts of burnt rubber on my inner fender wells and along the bottom of the car from when I burnt thru a set of tires before my trans rebuild. Any tricks of getting this crap off?

If you were Paul, they would be waxed and you would wipe it off with detailer.

It'* working for him though.

Look at it two ways..inside the wheel well..I'd leave it..as protection from rocks etc. On the lip of the fender..I'd try bug and tar remover and not hurt the paint.

Putty knife or plastic razor blades. And try soaking them first with Simple Green or some kind of cleaner.

Is claybaring a possibility for the paint?
And yeah, for the wheelwells just think of it as "free" undercoating

I wouldn't. I had some on the very lower section of my paint and after I claybarred the rest of the car I tried a bit on those sections. The debris is so large that you will likely scratch the paint after just a couple passes. Unless you have unlimited amounts of clay to constantly switch to, I'd stick with another method.
