Cleaning the inside of the headlights?
So does anyone know how to do this? The insides of mine are really dusty for some reason. I looked at the casing and it looks like you can snap the cover off. So im wondering if anybody did this or a different way. Since i do not want to tstart to do it and end up breaking the housing.

I took the drivers headlight apart on my 1998 SSE to fix a chip on the inside of the lense, and the reflector was pealing so I used high temp chrome paint. Stupid me for having turned the headlights on immediataly upon putting them back together. All the gases emitted from the drying paint and silicone fogged the inside of the lense up really good and the paint turned to more of the grey.
The process:
Remove headlight assembly from the car.
Remove clips (4 for the 1992-1999 headlights) that secure the lense to the rear/reflector side of the housing. Use a flat screw driver and a heat gun (hair dryer on high) and slowly turn the screw driver to peel the two sides apart.
Use clear silicone when resealing, using a fine bead, but enough to make a full seal all the way around. put the lense in place, reinstall the clips, and let cure before turning the headlights on.
May take up to 24 hours to cure, but worth the wait if you don't want to redo it.

I tried that also.. and the chrome paint never looked chrome as far as mirror shine.. so I used some heat lamp shield that people *cough *cough used for hydriphonics grows made a few strips and super glued the damm thing to it.. it does alright..but nothing is going to be as good as brand new cause of the way it'* designed to reflect.. no place around here will chrome plastic.. so I was SOL.
