Factory Wheel Paint & Refinished Centercaps *UPDATE*
Anybody make a product, similar to duplicolor or whatever, for our factory wheels?
I've got a few knicks I'd like to take care of, along with possibly re-doing the centercaps to match the rim. Don't worry about those centercaps in the picture. They're sitting with the chrome t-stars on the SLE. I swapped wheels to the SSEi because I NEED the performance tires on them until I can get new tires. Plus I didn't want the SLE to feel left out

I know this wont help much, but I bought some wheel paint and it matched perfectly, It was like galaxy silver or somthing. But it was meant for wheels, and then I used wheel clearcoat as well, I know they had a picture of a wheel on the can, but I threw them away.
This was on my 94 with the crosslace silver wheels.

Duplicolor'* products are VERY tough and durable. I'm impressed with the results on my slick rims with their wheel epoxy-coat color and clearcoat line.
Their automotive clearcoat line is the hardest and toughest clear I've ever encountered. So tough, it'* difficult to wet-sand.

I thought I was going to just paint all the wheels all over,
but the color was so close I did not have to.

Ok, on to the centercaps....time to refinish them.
Check out what'* underneath the aluminum
Peeled off with a needle nose pliers (left) and wet-sanded (right). It'* totally smooth even though it looks kinda funky.
Primed
Finished Product
Ok, if you believe that you've got issues or you think VERY highly of my painting skills
I was gonna get some Duplicolor paint, but I couldn't pass these BRAND NEW caps on eBay for $18 SHIPPED.

These are purely painted with clearcoat on the top. NO aluminum. The plastic is grey underneath too. I'm still going to paint the other ones though when I get a chance.
Here they are installed and how my new baby is sitting as of now, while the poor 40th SLE is outside (but riding on chrome ) Like I said, I NEED the tires on there until I get new ones. dbeast can feel less threatened now - we don't have matching wheels anymore
