Default Anyway to fix my bumper?

It has been like this since I got the 98. It bulges out and even if i push on it, it won't move any closer to the car. Is it repairable or will I have to search for a new bumper?

Was there some minor fender bender on the right rear perhaps? That would possibly explain why there'* undue pressure there at the bump. Take a good look underneath and look for any evidence of a minor bumper hit on the right side corner.

Looks to me the car could have been bumped into.
I might suggest climbing under the car, and hammering on the bumper shock to see if it will pull out. It might pull that corner of the bumper tight, and pull that piece in.

I had a similar issue: My left exhaust tip stuck out further from under the car than the right.
???
After wailing on the bumper shock, it lined up nicely.

Yup, I was in an accident. The paint on my spoiler is cracked and the trunk is a different color. Its green but the color is off, but I knew it was crashed from the Carfax when I bought it so..

Ill try that today and see if that will fix it.

If that bumper strut is rusted, squirt it with some WD-40 first. It should work loose.

Just to make sure, take a measurement from a fixed point under the car to the outer lip of the bumper on each side, and compare the measurements.

This will let you know how much you have to "wail" on the bumper shock.

Good luck, let us know if it works!

Yes, that is the part that might need a bit of a tapping to straighten the rest out.

Did you take the measurements?

Yeah I did. They were the same. I taped the strut a little to see if it would move out at all and i couldn't get it to.

Have you looked inside the trunk at the bolts holding the piece on to see if loosening or moving them slightly might correct the problem?
