Default Zilla gets it from both ends:

Starting with a colonoscopy.

Don't laugh. I can keep the garage at 50 degrees when it'* 30 degrees outside:

Oops. How'd that fall off?

Test fit:

Tailpipe expander (this is the colonoscopy part):

Lightly tacked in place so I can make final adjustments. You want to just tack both first. Then stand back and inspect them:

Hopefully they won't look like this when I'm driving:

Size: 44.1 KB

Looking good:

Looking kinda odd considering the position and angle:

Size: 52.2 KB

Painted just on the off-chance that the welds develop minor surface rust (no rust on either car so far, and we're not starting now):

I'll make final adjustments later by raising the muffler and shifting it slightly to the driver'* side. The passenger side tip wanted to be a little to the right, so I made the driver'* side the same, then I'll shift the muffler over with spacers to compensate. It'* not super-obvious, but I know it'* off a bit.

These tips are staggered in length between the two outlets on each side, so there'* a left and right. I saw similar tips on sonoma_zr2'* car last year, and loved the look. They follow the contour of the rear bumper.

Call my crazy, but the tips actually affected the sound of the exhaust. For the better. The dual tips and the resulting 'u' bend, and larger opening (cutting off the squared off oem outlets) actually makes a difference in sound.

Remember the topic title? Getting it from both ends. Time to turn her around and get busy again. Pics of that work a little later.

It'* about time you changed out those pathetic tips Bill.
Those new ones look ten times better.

Nicely installed as usual.

Very nice! I was actually looking at very similar tips. Just to get the system up and on for now though I think I'm going to put 20 bux on regular stainless steel double tips. I really really want rolled though... just have to find $100.00 id be willing to drop on them lol.

On to the other end.

Time for a little cleaning and touchup to fix what all the polishing on the newly painted hood caused:

Anyone notice anything missing? End of an era, a trademark gone. ONE of them will be re-routed to a hidden location, as it'* still quite effective and necessary:

The touchup under the hood needs to dry overnight before I finish the touchup on this, and punch the holes (then water-proof it):

Yup, in that recent topic, it was requested that I add some color to this 3D raised emblem. So I did.

Tomorrow.......I'll finish up the hood insulator and re-routing half the old 'removed' trademark, then move on to trying to fit in the latest in the performance buildup on the front of the car.

I have a FWI (have for over a year). No need for that side any more. It'* gone.

The passenger side cools the SC through the duct. It will be re-routed to pull air from somewhere other than the old scoop.

Cody, the mounting locations in the bumper reinforcement on the SE'* is still there, just like the SSEi. Look under your rear bumper, you'll see 2 holes on each side.

I'll have to check.

Have you thought about doing a 96-99 headlight conversion? That would update the look of the green supercharged car and maybe even do it to the other green supercharged car.

Or you could do it to the green supercharged car and leave the other green supercharged car alone...
