Default Water Spot Removal

I have a Black '05 GXP and just noticed hard water spots all over the hood & front end today. I think that I got them from the car wash a couple of days ago. I applied vinegar to the paint directly but the spots are not coming off.

This happened to me with another vehicle one time and a detailer got it out with what he said was a "light acid cleaner". What is the best product to remove it?
