Default Interior work...

I've got the faux CF/vinyl wrap on a few things. I perfected my technique on the window switch plates, but on the main dash trim panel, it'* OK. But i'm sick of fake, I want the interior to be a NICE place to be.

I'm kinda tired of the "fake" stage if you will. I'm looking for ideas on interior work. Eventually i'd like to everything from the trim panel, to the pillars in materials that are nicer, and better surfaces.

Some ideas I have already...
Any thoughts? I'm not sure what i'd do with the center console yet, the interior is gray, and the carpet could use some cleaning, if not being replaced.

IMO the switches are making it look worse than the overlay..

why not get a new dash and sand it down to glass and just clear it

I agree, if you need them, get some better looking switches. Black toggles, or push buttons maybe....

I can recommend the wheelskins. I put one on my 91 Sonoma and it was easy and looks great.

Pillars would be cool, but I am not too sure of doing the whole dash (headliner + pillar combo would be sweet). The doors would be nice to make suede inserts, but if you do the carpet part at the bottom, shoe scuff and dirt will show up on it. I like the idea of painting the trim pieces too, just make sure that if you make it a gloss paint, it does not reflect too much during the day and mess with your eyes. Sounds like you got a project on your hands...just give it some thought before you jump into anything and post up pics of the progress!

I had some black plastic switches, and I just hated them, and one broke even.. I'll definetly be looking for something nicer there too.
