raising the rear spoiler
Has anybody ever raised the rear spoiler on the 2000-up cars. I think the cars would look more slick if the spoilers were raised up 2 - 3 inches. any ideas?

A wing would look weird, IMO. If you want to raise the current spoiler, just get 2-3 in of some sort of padding with properly aligned holes. Try fiberglass if you're good with it. I recently did some molding, and it reminded me of the smell. If you don't mind the smell, try it out and see. Just don't permanently affix the fiberglass too soon.

The bottom of the spoiler is shaped like the car & it looks bad raced. The only good way to fix it would be to cut the bottom of the spoiler & make it new with fiberglass. Otherwise it would look not finished.
You are right that the spoiler needs something extra. & I too was contenplating racing it, but I guess I took the easy way out when I did mine.

I had thought about finding a 300 M spoiler. There was a factory skirt package and It came with a bada$$ looking rear spoiler.
Im not lookin into a rice boy-racer wing, It just looks like the bonne'* should sit about 2 inches higher. And to clear up any confusion....a spoiler is a wing.

I was going to do just that last year but never got around to it, just not enough hours in the day. My plan was to make a space out of wood. Sand it, shape it, make it look just right. Then remove those, and make a mold in plaster. Then pour plastic resin in to the mold, let harden, remove, drill out holes, paint, and install.
