Help mounting to dash
I am having a heck of time. I am trying to mount the wired control/ display unit/receiver for the remote for my trunk mounted cd changer. I want to mount the diplay to the area directly below the radio, but I can't get anything to stick there. I have tried double sided tape and I even tried duck tape just to see if it would work. I couldn't believe it didn't work. Anyone have an idea what will stick there?
Just in case anyone was unsure of where I meant. Right behind the gear shift.
The display was previoulsy stuck in the area in the backseat where the center arm rest pulls down. You actually had to point the remote to the back to get ti to work. What a pain. You couldn't use it all if you had three people in the back seat. I don't know why the previous owners had it there. It will be alot easier to use now.

Hmm and it'* all one solid piece there? Mine had a gain slider, which I removed to install my XM radio in the same spot.

you could always put it in the cigarette ash tray....you know where it flips up.....you could have it up when you are using it and then flip it closed when you want it hidden

I thought about that, too. But that is where we keep our lose change. I even thought about cutting out a place for it and mounting it from the inside, but then I'll have a hole once I take it out.

Maybe go for one of these mounts? http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/Adobe/PT-50-95.pdf
Only $36 bucks but not in the ideal spot.
Other than that I would say drill into the dash piece, as I'm sure you could always find another for cheap at a yard.
I still like the look of things under the radio, here'* pics from my XM install: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ighlight=radio
