Default Question about Rims

I was thinking about eventually getting new rims for my bonne. I think some black 18s would look hot on the white.

1. What if anything else would i need to do to pull this off or will it be a simple matter of buying/mounting new rims & tires?

2. Will this give the car additional ground clearance? I seem scrape the road more often then I would like.

3. Will the car handle much differently after the swap?

4. Will it throw off the spedometer/odometer?

you may want 245/55/18

18'* will fit just fine.

I dont see why you are scraping the road now?

Scrapes WHAT, and WHERE? We don't scrape the road. Someone has issues with their car.

The 18'* will be a stiffer, harsher ride, and will not corner as well, besides being harde to get rolling and harder to stop. Balance that against the look you're after.

Yes, Bill is correct. But i'm assuming he is after looks and not performance with 18'*

I'm just making sure he knows what he needs to know to make his decision. Many people don't realize that the larger wheels cause other issues.

Scraping the ROAD? Hrm, I've only scraped the front bumper b4, but that was pulling out of certain businesses.
