My VT grilles are about a year old, and while my car is getting some paint work done, I thought I would spend some time polishing up the grilles.
As you can see, after a year, these things look pretty nasty.
This is what it looks like now. The photo doesn't show much, but this thing is shiny now.
This is what I did:
1.) 400 grit wet sanding
2.) 800 grit wet sanding
3.) 1000 grit wet sanding
4.) Mother'* Mag/Alum polish
It took a long time to do one piece, but it will be worth it in the end.
The pic doesn't do much justice, but you can kind of see a difference. It'* much greater in person.
I know Bonnies don't use VT Grilles, but if you have some aluminum grilles of any sort, this is a good way to polish them.
