Seeing as one of those little bottles comes with every mothers clay bar.......and I have used up(and thrown out) a few small bottles.....
i'm guessing i've bought 12-14 mothers bars and 4-5 meguiars.

In 4 years of owning my car, I've clayed once, and even then, it didnt really need it.
I'm not seein the hype over the clay bar unless you park under a tree that drips sap or drive on a dirt road every day.

I also replace clay more often then it may need to because I would rather spend the money on new clay then risk spending the time on buffing fine scratches out.

2. And I've thrown out one of the bars, the other I've saved just for an emergency, I wouldn't do an entire car with it. Clay magic brand, have an entire bottle of their lubricant left still though.

I've used my clay bar once. This spring, definitely needed it. Huge difference in the feel of the pain afterwards. Then I clay bared just the front end, roof, and trunk a couple weeks ago. Sides didn't need it. Oh and i've used it on the rear driver quarter panel on my friends ga to remove some road tar and on the front passenger quarter to remove some clear coat over spray.

I'm not putting down the clay process, its great and it did make a difference, I guess I was just expecting some protest from the clay as I ran it along the car. I used the Meguiars product and was pretty satisfied with it.
I get the same "soft paint" finish with products like Nu Finish and using the spray detailer without the clay bar.
Anyway, for those that need it...do it!
