Hey guys so I've been thinking about taking my supercharger, alternator, valve covers, fuel rails, & all that fun stuff & I was wondering what kind of paint that you guys recommend that I use to do it all.

Also I need to figure out what all colors I wanna paint everything
I know I'll be getting red spark plug wires so that'* all sorted out
I'm thinking about painting the alternator black
Then the actual supercharger idk if i'll paint it all black too or paint it silver or chrome colored
The valve cover i'm wanting to get air brushed eventually but for now i have nooo idea what color to paint them
& then the fuel rails, idk if I should paint them the same color as the supercharger or if i should paint them a different color to help set them apart & all
&& i feel like i'm forgetting something but if anyone can tell me how they painted their supercharger or alternator that would be highly appreciated & also I'd appreciate some help on the color stuff thanks!

I used Duplicolor High temp ceramic paint for my */C, Duplicolor Self Etching Primer followed by Trim Paint for my valve covers and had my fuel rail sand blasted then Self Etching Primer and Silver Paint

thats a good looking setup pearl, everything goes good together. im also kind of curious on how you woold go about getting your sc chromed. is it a diys thing or would you have to send it somewhere?

I went with galvanizing chrome paint. It'* good paint as long as no gas gets on it. You will have the same problem with any chrome paint, it does not do well with gas. You will need a higher temp paint as it will get up to about 180* in there.

High temp paint will usually work good on any surfaces that get hot, such as the supercharger. A lot of people use caliper paint. As far as the colors, i'm always a big fan of things that match and/or go with other colors on the car. I think everything just looks cleaner and more natural that way.

thanks guys! & i also really like Pearl'* set up underneath there. & like Eric said I most def wanna make sure it matches the rest of the car. so i'm wanting to focus on silver, red & black. & oh i should point out that soon (hopefully) i'll have a silver STB going across the back end of the engine bay area to match the diagonal brace bars

Sometimes I leave the cover off during shows/meets & sometimes i put it on so i wanna make sure it will look good with the cover on it
I tell ya though, you guys & the monte guys most def have different opinions lol most of the members over there are telling me to leave it as it is for some reason

You can get new wire looms and replace the black. Then replace the vacuum lines, and finally the spark plug wires. That alone will dress up the engine bay. If you can afford it, go with the big 10.3mm wires. No performance gain, but will give a big WOW factor. To clean up the supercharger you can use a wire brush and clean it all up by hand.

The engine bay looks good stock, but looks much better when it is cleaned up and painted in a color that looks good. It takes your engine from "just another 3800" to "wow, that'* a clean engine!" lol.
