Painting rust
I have 2 problem areas on my car that i would like to take care of.
I'm not sure how far, if at all this goes down under the cladding.
I just don't know how to go about fixing it...
i would imagine i should sand off the rust, fill the pits with bondo, and paint it.. but I don't know what sort of primer to use, whether i should get brush-on or spray-on paint (or where to get it), if this is a small enough area to be done outside, or in the garage with no dust control, etc.
I realize this won't look factory, but as long as it looks ok from 10 feet away and it stops the rust from spreading, i'm OK with it.
i realize this is a somewhat broad topic... i can't actually start yet, because as you can see it'* snowing... And i thought a couple 40* weekends meant spring :?
any tips?

whats your budget?
for the door, get a different door. After you take off that door cladding, it will look even worse. Lets have a pic of the backside of the door....
for the fender, I'd just sand it down, prime and paint. Gonna be tough to blend it into the rest of the fender though. Maybe look into some awesome fender trim

I can't find bonnevilles this color ANYWHERE. a door might be hard :/
I dont care if it blends perfectly, just as long as it looks a lot better than it does now. what do you mean by fender trim?
