It should be done next week. I'm going camping this week so when I get back I'll start work on it. I hope the arrow comes off easily!

OKay well I painted the grill today. The paint can says to wait 7 days before applying more than 3 coats, so I was wondering if I need to wait 7 days before I apply the clear coat, or if it would be fine to do it later tonight. If I do it later tonight it will have about 8 hours to dry before the clear coat.

That sounds like a really long time to me. Did you get the same kind of paint that you'd apply to the whole car or something? I would have to think that you'd be alright after 7 hours, let alone 7 days, but then again it'* not my grille If the surface is dry, I don't see why you can't apply the clear.
The stuff I used took like 30 minutes between coats. I'm not sure what to tell you! Maybe a paint expert can chime in.

ehh I just went ahead and did it. I'm in between clear coats right now. Going to put two on. I'll probably get the grill put back in tonight, however the arrow isn't done yet. I need to get some of that tape, that thing is stuck on good! I think the grill looks good so far! Can't wait to see it on the car.

Sounds good, I'm sure you'll love how it'll turn out!
Now that I think about it, my arrow had a slight "wiggle" to it before it actually came off, but hopefully that tape will still work for you. Otherwise it'll come down to careful prying I guess.

Well, I just finished putting the grille back on, and I think it looks great! I'm eager to see how it looks in the daylight however. Hopefully I'll be able to get that dang arrow off tomorrow!
