Im assuming you would want to make sure to clean around the area. remove any rust spots.and use the touch up stuff.
Hold on Peter will be here in a minute.

well imgoing to assume that its just a small brush-on touch up bottle and not anything that needs to be sprayed, Would i be correct in assuming this?
If so the only thing that you can do is make sure that the area is clean then just take youe time and brush the touch up paint in the scratch/chips only (not all around them aswell) if you need to do more then one application that will be fine just give it a few minuits time before doing so.
And remember If you want me or anyone to help, to the best of our abilitys...

I was looking at getting one of those little touch up bottles. Let us know how it turns out. I have a few scratches, and one chip on the front bumper.

well...im not gonna lie to yall, im kinda pissed off.
i purchased this from O'reilley, the lady who mixed the paint seemed to know what she was doing.
the paint code on my trunk lid is 526F, which in their paint books corresponded to a Redfire Metallic...makes enough sense...i noticed when i looked at the paint it looked a little darker than my car, but i figured it was because it was an inch or two deep and in a can and all that, and that once it got thinned out and on the car it would be fine......
so i decided to tackle a decent sized rock chip on my hood, this is it in the picture below
so i applied the paint, made sure i was applying as thin a coat as possible, this is immediately after applying.
i remember thinking to myself, wow thats way too dark, i should wipe it off before it dries.....then i thought "Well maybe itll lighten up as it dries".....
NOPE
so now i have a nice big dark patch where once was a rock chip, im not sure which is worse.

that kinda thing happens,
Thats why the paint companies have varyent color chips for different colors i know red'* are bad for that. She did give you the right color (by code) but it was the wrong varient so i didnt match
the reason that there are different varients for one color is because of different production years, different assembly plants, or even different paint companys supplying the assembly plant
