Or more like a hole...

Some jack@$$ went flying by me today and sent a rock flying at my car...it hit my headlight at warp speed, put a hole in it...the hole'* no bigger than 1/8 of an inch or so....

Does anyone know of anything I can "patch" this up with to keep moisture and water out? I really don't want to drop $100 on a new headlight assembly.

Some people...ugh!

Some sort of epoxy perhaps.

I know my cousin who lives with my works for a company who is a leader in epoxies. I could check with him about your needs and possible mail you a small bit of what you need if you can't find anything.

I use clear silicone.

Headlights can be had for $50 or less on ebay.

Do you have a deductible for comprehensive on your insurance? That type of breakage would be covered under that.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I have a $500 deductible for both comp. and collision, so it wouldn't be worth making a claim...it'* barely noticeable, but I know it'* there, and I don't want moisture in there...bad, bad moisture! :?

I have the same issue on my 95. I fixed it with a small dab of clear silicone sealant. I get no moisture in there.
