Need green 96SE grill + Question on removing engine paint?
Did some custom work on my grille a few years back and trying to return the car to as close to factory appearance as possible. I need a new grille since the old one was modified. Where is the cheapest place to get this or does anyone have a spare one lying around?
Also, whoever had my car before me used some sort of metallic spraypaint to coat the engine and make it appear chrome? Is there a safe, non abrasive way to remove this paint? I don't want to do any harm to the engine.
Here are a few pictures of my car, can someone tell me what color my car "technically is" so that I can specify the exact color I need for my grille?

It'* on both, it'* pretty much on everything it looks like, the plastic tanks, the starter, the frame, the engine cover is a red color as well...

Hey..it looks like you chromed your own engine a couple years back. There are probably things out there that would strip it..but the effects on other components etc would probably be bad.

ON topic, buckwheat. Who else would know what TYPE of paint the engine was painted with (in order to decide how to remove it) than the person who painted it in the first place?

I can look into the spraypaint, It was a metallic shade I purchased from Meijer I read about. Underneath the engine cover isn't chromed by the way. I'll borrow my girlfriend'* camera and take a few pics of the weathered paint tonight.
