Question about Rims
I was thinking about eventually getting new rims for my bonne. I think some black 18s would look hot on the white.
1. What if anything else would i need to do to pull this off or will it be a simple matter of buying/mounting new rims & tires?
2. Will this give the car additional ground clearance? I seem scrape the road more often then I would like.
3. Will the car handle much differently after the swap?
4. Will it throw off the spedometer/odometer?

1) I can't say for sure but you should be just fine as far as clearing the breaks and things.
2) No, you will have to buy new tires as well (to fit the 18'*) and as long as you keep the other dimentions the same you will have no change in ground clearence.
3) I've been told it could, if they are heavey then it will accelerate slower and break slower... someone who has that size can help you more
4) not if you don't change the other tire dimentions.

(fyi) my 18'* are 245/45/18
you may want 245/55/18
18'* will fit just fine.
I dont see why you are scraping the road now?

Scrapes WHAT, and WHERE? We don't scrape the road. Someone has issues with their car.
The 18'* will be a stiffer, harsher ride, and will not corner as well, besides being harde to get rolling and harder to stop. Balance that against the look you're after.
