Default Some new Fog light projectors…*installed Pics*

*Mods... wasn;t sure where to post this... so.. move if need be...

So im getting ready for winter, one thing I knew I was going to have to get ready is lighting because the driving lights I have one there will suck in the snow.
So I went to Pep Boys and found these really cool looking ones that seem to have a good beam pattern and cutoff.

They are Only $30, and they are a type of cylinder Projectors.. Its weird but it works good.

Here’* what they look like…

This is how its setup inside.

You can’t seem in the bulb picture above that there is no reflector behind the bulb…
Its weird but I did some testing with putting a make shift reflector behind it and it
made the light scatter and throw of a not so good pattern.

OK this is how they look, the big DOT id my driving light that I left on one side
so you can compare the Fog Light pattern with a Driving light one.

And here it is by its self.

I think there pretty good for $30, and im going to try some 85watt bulbs I found
I know 100watt ones might be to hot for them so that’* why im going to try 85watt
That casing on these projectors are 100% steel so its good for a heat sink.

Model: nv-534
Brand, Navigator by: Pilot.

The driving lights look brighter, but im sure you will fix that once you upgrade the bulbs in the new ones. Looks good!! How do they look on the car? Where are they mounted?

those aren't designed to be driving lights though. they are for fog...so bad weather and such.

they dont look deep enough to be an issue if you mounted them in the opening in front of the radiator.

For reference, Ryan you saw those projector fogs that I am playing with now. Those would fit but they touch the bumper and radiator. so you should be fine.

you will likely have to make some sort of custom bracket but its do-able

Uh..they are meant for fog. I wouldn't up the voltage, I'd buy the right lights.
