Default New look question

Ok guys, my Bonne is in kinda rough shape the only saving grace is that it was always stored inside and probably only seen 6 Michigan winters in its life. There is a little rust on the rear wheel well, just surface. and my body panels are missing on the drivers side (thanks allot little bro) so I was thinking after I fix the rust, maybe remove the rest of the panels and have the whole lower part of the car rhino lined, they have a green that almost matchs perfect. I know it wont be supper sweet looking like most of your guys cars, but i want it to last a long time (after all it is 14 this year, thats really old for a daily driver in Michigan!) I figured it would be the best wat to keep the rust away..........

Let me know your honest opinion.
Thanks.

Well the reason i thought rhino lining is that it will stop the car from rusting ever again, as long as I make sure its all gone before I have it done. I bought this car for 250 bucks and I really don't want to get a maaco paint job or something like that, and have to do it over again in 2 years............

uhh if you get rid of all the rust, and then Primer and Paint it will look alot better than the rhyno....and it actually might be cheaper......

the metal underneathe will rust.....even if it has the rhyno or not

any good paintjob with that much body work is gonna be worth more than the car.. if thats what ur into and you really like your car.. go for it..

the rhino would look OK for a while, but like pat said, its gonna keep rusting from behind...where you planning on doing the underside of the car also?

older winter bonnevilles do have a problem of severe rusting.. ask members that have had suspension parts break while driving...

i say dont do anything to the exterior, but keep an eye on the undercarriage and drive it while its safe

Thanks for the info harofreak00, I have looked under the car and there is almost no rust, and the suspension has pretty much all been replaced over the last year, the car as far as being solid, is very solid, and the motor now that I have done a tune up runs great. I just want this car to last me 3-5 years with no or little problems. I tihnk that I am going to fix the rust, and rhino line the under neith in black along with the wheel wells and the lower part in green. They will custom mix my color for a nominal fee. That should give me the few years I am after. Then I can toss it and know that it did its job.........
