new shift *** on a 97 saber?
hey guys i wanted to replace the shifter *** on my 97saber to a 8ball from candian tire do you think it will fit?

I dont have my saber right not to check if it will fit its in the shop getting a new engine do you think some one can measure the arm and see if it will fit for me Thanks!

It'* probably too big if it'* meant for a manual, and you put it on the column shifter.
Look around for mini 8 balls. I've seen some in Spencer'* and such that would be the right size for a column shift ****. You'd have to customize the actual mount, but that should be easy enough.

my *** has no button and since when do you need to push in a button to get it out of gear i just put my foot on the brake and pull down? and yes its made for a 5sp but is may still work and that idea on the mini 8balls i am going ot have to look into that thanks for the idea man!

yes, it should fit your car. measure the diameter of the stock shifter shaft and make sure that it'* ATLEAST 1/4 of an inch! If it is, it'll fit as long as this is a universal ****, which it looks like. Those who said you need a button were thinking of a floor shift which a vast majority of Bonneville'* have, and those have a button you have to press to get the car out of gear, your column shift on the LeSabre won't need that. No worries.

damn you young people with your fancy floor shifters my car is in the shop so no i cant check it i will when it comes back....no idea when thats going to be
