Default new shift *** on a 97 saber?

here is some info off the site

Lucky 8-Ball Shifter ****

* Fits most manual transmission vehicles
* Shifter stem diameter from 5/16" to 1/2" (8 to 12mm)

your 97 saber is not a manual, therefore the **** will not have a button, and you will have no way to get it out of gear..

will not work

It'* probably too big if it'* meant for a manual, and you put it on the column shifter.

Look around for mini 8 balls. I've seen some in Spencer'* and such that would be the right size for a column shift ****. You'd have to customize the actual mount, but that should be easy enough.

yes, it should fit your car. measure the diameter of the stock shifter shaft and make sure that it'* ATLEAST 1/4 of an inch! If it is, it'll fit as long as this is a universal ****, which it looks like. Those who said you need a button were thinking of a floor shift which a vast majority of Bonneville'* have, and those have a button you have to press to get the car out of gear, your column shift on the LeSabre won't need that. No worries.

Isn't it your car? You can't measure it? We don't HAVE column shifters. You do. You need to measure YOURS.
