Default Is Trunk Key Lock Paintable?

On the trunk, there'* a place for you to stick the key in to unlock the trunk. It'* black (I secretly hate dark colored Bonnevilles for this reason) and it'* a eyesore on very light colored cars, it looks unfinished and I was wondering if I could paint it? Could I just scuff it up and spray paint it? Or no? It'* like the mole on Cindy Crawford'* upper lip, you're distracted by it when you're trying to admire her body....

it'* NOT nail polish, it is a Duplicolor paint pen (Pontiac Red) so we're clear

I wouldn't do that....

When you do use your key to get into the trunk, it'll scratch VERY easily....

Oh yeah I would do body color, I have the duplicolor paint pen that matches the body exactly. I'll do it tomorrow.
