Default how long to wait before waxing?

My car is in getting painted right now as we speak.. I am getting the hood, and the front bumper done right now. The rest will have to come later.. anyway, it gets painted today, so I assume that I will have to wait until around atleast the 1st of September before I wax it? How long before I can wash it?

That'* a question for the painter. Alot depends on the type of paint they put on, and their own preference (as well as paint warranty).

Wait as long as possible, don't put a hood protector on it right away since you dont' have wax. You may have the aluminum primer issues like the 00+ bonnies too, so it may not be a good idea at all.
