thanx.. It did melt. but wat I did was take majority of it out small section @ a time. then smoothed out the edges.. Now you want me to start on another retro for it again. damm you "copa feel" drunken boost monkey !!!!

I didn't use a neon tube.. it'* actually a 15" plasma tube.. so it flickers in lil lightening bolts in the tube with purple/blue/green

Ptrototype #3 coming up.

Looking for suggestions on how to seperate and get the plastic off the backside....Toss them in here..let'* see what we can dream up.

Sorry if this is a repeat, but you tried the heat gun right?

Also, I don't remember, but did you break one and see if there was a way to seperate the broken pieces? Might give you an idea on how to do it with a solid unit.

Do they sell any kind of "hot knife" U know , u could just cut into the plastic & melt it off? Like a hot knife through butter!!!

they have that kind of thing to cut foam, but I doubt it would work on this.

Ok..I'm out of making these things. There are about six in circulation now.

Last time I make them the only thing I changed up was instead of hand painting the letters in... I masking taped the area and cut the letters out, the sprayed about 50 coats on..peeled the letters and presto. Perfect letters.
